Inti Gas - Cobresol

This one should be a no-brainer. Inti Gas are in a must win situation, otherwise their entire work throughout  the season would have been in vain. They currently sit on 7th place, the last one the brings with it a qualification to the Copa Sudamericana, and there is no place for missteps, as a list of 5 teams are rooting for that place. A draw won't do here, so Inti Gas has no other options than to take the three points. And normally, that shouldn't be a problem against a team in Cobresol's position. They have been relegated for quite some time, most of their players have left the team, and they are just waiting miserably for the season to end. Cobresol lost 18 of their 21 games played as visitors, conceding 52 goals, and if we add the altitude to this series of bad results, we should see a clear winner. The handicap is high, and the odds have dropped, but it's still worth taking for some medium stakes. GL!

Cobresol - Real Garcilaso

Newcomers Real Garcilaso are the new leaders of the Primera Division of Peru, a great achievement for them, and it will be very interesting to see if they manage to keep this position until the end of the season. But that will be a very hard task, especially since when playing away from home, they are a totally different team. As a comparison, we have their incredible 11-0-0 home record, against their 1-6-4 away record. Still solid, for Peruvian standards, as they only lost 4 games, but with just 1 win, it shows clearly that they are traveling defensive-minded, with a draw as their objective. Meanwhile, Cobresol are simply awful, sitting on the last place in the standings, after a run of 6 games without a win. I don't expect much improvements (especially since last round I went against them with a -1.25 handicap), and they are 90% relegated at the moment, but with Garcilaso's timid approach of their away games, Cobresol should be more than able to snatch a draw here. I would have preferred the +0.5 line, but since that's not available, the +0.25 should work as well, at some nice odds. GL!

Leon de Huanuco - Cobresol

Last time I made a bet on Leon I lost, but this looks like a good opportunity to get that money back. There isn't much to say about them, as they are definitely not the team they were in the last 2 years, sitting at the middle of the table on 9th place, 12 points behind the league leaders. And their indestructible home fortress has also been breached, as they only won 4 of their 10 home games. But even so, they should not be underestimated, and I'm sure they are bound to come back. And today is a great chance to do that, as they are facing the worst travelers in the league, Cobresol, who have only won 1 game as visitors, losing all the other 9. The fact that the match will be played in the high altitude of Huanuco won't help them either, and so far they've lost all the matches played at altitude this season, with a goal difference of 2-9. They look pretty much hopeless, and I don't see how they can save themselves from relegation, so this is the perfect moment for Leon to bounce back. GL!

Cobresol - Jose Galvez

After a tempest in the opening round, when a lot of teams were forbidden to use their proffesional players, and the rest of the team showed solidarity and also used the youth squads, the Primera Division of Peru is slowly getting back on track, despite the sad news that San Martin has retired from the competition. Most teams are looking ok now, and will finally be able to use their main squad. Cobresol is one of them, as after a 1-2 loss in the first round, at Cristal, playing with the youth team, they can finally start their campaign. This time they will be at home, against newly promoted Jose Galvez, and in theory, this should be an easy game for them. That is because Jose Galvez will once again be forced to use their youth squad, because their proposed payment plan hasn't been accepted by the federation. So, we have a decent home team, using real players, against a newly promoted team, who is still an unknown in away matches, forced to use very young and inexperienced players. Clear quality difference here, and although the odds went down, it's still worth a bet. GL!

Sporting Cristal - Cobresol

The Peruvian tournament is about to start in the middle of a tempest, as yesterday the clubs couldn't reach an agreement with the Footballer's Guild about a payment issue with the players, that is why the players decided to go on strike for this first round. However, since the strike will be considered illegal by the Federation, the matches will be played, but a lot of teams will use youngsters or players from the reserve team, who are not under contract with the main club. All the players are showing solidarity with the others, and it is quite certain that 90% of the teams will be fielding a youth line-up. Sporting Cristal, however, could not be among those teams. They have missed yesterday's meeting, and there are rumours going around that they might use their best line-up. And in this case, I feel sorry for Cobresol, who will very likely be pulverized. But, if they decide to go along with the strike, Cobresol's chances will rise, and I expect the game to be much more open. The odds dropped dramatically for Cristal, so if they use their youth squad there will surely be a lot of value on Cobresol +1, but since there is a lot of doubt around the line-ups, the over looks great. Cristal with regulars = trashing. Cristal with reserves = open match, also with chances for goals (we need a minimum of 2, so that's not hard to get). GL!

Juan Aurich - Cobresol

Juan Aurich may have secured their place in the final, but are still fighting, as they want the top spot, which will give them the small advantage of having to play the second leg of the final in Chiclayo. And they also want to remain in-form until the final, so they will use almost all of their best players tonight, and they should also be quite motivated to take the win, as Alianza has a tough away game against a relegation candidate, so the top spot is pretty much possible for Aurich. What's more, they will also receive an indirect helping hand from their opponents, as Cobresol will reportedly use reserves, and a lot of players from the second team, due to some debts and internal problems, for which the players from the main team have decided not to play tonight. Neither will the head coach be a part of the match. So against a Cobresol team that is knee-deep in problems, and with a very wak line-up, I expect a full strength Aurich to have little problems, and take an easy win. GL!

Sport Huancayo - Cobresol

Sport Huancayo looks to be one of the most in-form team at the moment, or at least one of the most pleasant to watch, having a very solid offensive line, and usually employing an attacking style of play, especially when playing in the heights of Huancayo. Sotil, Avila and Mostto have shown they are in very good form, and for today's match they will also welcome back midfielder Hilden Salas, a player with offensive profile, who will look to ease the ball transition from the midfield line upwards. 4 points for Huancayo since the Descentralizado has restarted, a draw at home with Cienciano (lead 2-0, but were equalized late in the game, probably due to a drop in morale following a red card) and a good and solid away win at Inti Gas. Cobresol have been one of the best travelers in the league, losing just 1 of their 8 matches played as visitors. However, that defeat came against another of the better teams with altitude advantage, 0-3 with Inti Gas. And they have also appeared to lose their momentum a bit, as they are without a win in the last 4 league matches, so I expect them to have some problems with an in-form offensive power like Huancayo.
